Week 77: I Love the Polangui Area

Image
Kam na bane ni mauri tariu ao maneu n te bon ae nang tamoaroa aio.      The work is getting slow but not too slow.  We are trying our best to start again after last week.  We had mission tour and we received an invitation from Elder Wakolo to double our baptism numbers and extend our invitation to those people we have been teaching in our area.  Last Thursday, we had a district council meeting and we set a goal to have 10 baptisms this February.  So, this is what we are looking forward to even though the work is getting so slow but we are trying to move forward.        This Sunday I was able to give a talk in the Polangui Branch.  I was able to talk about mission work.  I was so happy that my talk was going great.  I was taglish and I could see that everyone was beaming.  I am so grateful that this is the first time I have given a talk and it was really great.  My talk basically focused on D&C section 4.  I have hope for the people in Polangui and I felt that they learned more new

Kam na bane ni mauri ngkami ni kabane  Magandang umaga po sa inyo.  Well!  Firstly, the work here in Polangui is progressing and this week we have taught more than 5 new people.  Most of them are part-member families.  We also have gotten help from the members; especially the Relief Society as well as other leaders.  We do get support for those couples we have been teaching.  The good thing is that we have 2 couples that successfully made it.  One of them is Tatay Ray.  He will get baptized February 14th and after yung kasal po nila.  We also have some couples that are unable to get married because they have been married to other people before.  It would be very hard for them to work out the papers and find their past husband or wife.  We still encourage them to attend church as well as encourage them to work on their marriage papers.        We also have Sister Via.  She's 19 years of age and progressing.  The first time that we taught her was yesterday and she attended church.  T

Hello manga kapatid sa pananampalataya This week is awesome and we have been assigned to Libon temporarily.  Elder Simbulan doesn't have a companion because he is waiting for his companion so we are able to have a trisome.  It's a great opportunity for me to come back here to Libon and see the people here.  I was so amazed of how devoted and committed they are to do missionary work as I was working in Libon for 2-3 days.  This was confirmed when I attended the church in Libon yesterday and saw them attend Sacrament Meeting.  We had more than 40 in attendance in the church.  Although it is a branch, it's so amazing how far they live away from the meeting house and they were able to travel to attend church.      I was also able to visit the families whom I have been teaching in lockdown through cellphone calls.  Besides that I was able to meet with Sister Zairah who was a non-member that we had been teaching.  I'm so grateful that the missionaries were able to bapti
