Week 74: Welcome to Libon - Working with Elder Simbulan

      Hello manga kapatid sa pananampalataya

This week is awesome and we have been assigned to Libon temporarily.  Elder Simbulan doesn't have a companion because he is waiting for his companion so we are able to have a trisome.  It's a great opportunity for me to come back here to Libon and see the people here.  I was so amazed of how devoted and committed they are to do missionary work as I was working in Libon for 2-3 days.  This was confirmed when I attended the church in Libon yesterday and saw them attend Sacrament Meeting.  We had more than 40 in attendance in the church.  Although it is a branch, it's so amazing how far they live away from the meeting house and they were able to travel to attend church.

I was also able to visit the families whom I have been teaching in lockdown through cellphone calls.  Besides that I was able to meet with Sister Zairah who was a non-member that we had been teaching.  I'm so grateful that the missionaries were able to baptize her.  For Sister Clarise, I was so happy to see her attend Sacrament meeting.  There were many more things that improved and one thing I really like is that members often minister on Sunday and visit their friends and families.  It's a great opportunity for to see the love of God unfailing to help His children from lockdown until this time when we are in Phase 2.  So I just wanted to say thank you for all the support and the good examples you have been to everyone in these last days.

Elder Bateiti

Sister Clarise's first time to attend church.

Sister Zairah with the white shirt and her younger brother with her convert friends helping us fellowship.  Sister Zairah is one of my hardest investigators during lock down but right now we are able to see her being a member of the church.

Nanay Emma, a lady who was offended by members.  She's my best nanay in Libon from before until now.  She always feeds us and cooks us some delicious meals.  We often visit her and always teach her as well in our visits.

Finding Sister Sophia was had during the past days.  We have been looking for her to continue on with her lessons.  We want to baptize her because he mum is a member and her dad is not a member.  Yesterday we were able to see her with many friends in one of the members house.  So we were able to teach all of them lesson 1 about the Godhead and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  We will come back tomorrow to teach them.

Beautiful Hibiscus flower in Libon

They have the most beautiful flowers!!

Delicious meal cooked by Elder Simbulan.  He always says you have to eat a lot so that you can get strong and no more skinny.  So I started to eat much while being companions with him.  I am always happy being with him.

Elder Simbulan has gone back to Libon.

Just a few minutes ago the assistants took him.  He's so funny and every time he laughs a lot.  If you look at him, you will laugh also.
