Week 76: Work in Polangui Still Progressing
Kam na bane ni mauri ngkami ni kabane
Magandang umaga po sa inyo. Well! Firstly, the work here in Polangui is progressing and this week we have taught more than 5 new people. Most of them are part-member families. We also have gotten help from the members; especially the Relief Society as well as other leaders. We do get support for those couples we have been teaching. The good thing is that we have 2 couples that successfully made it. One of them is Tatay Ray. He will get baptized February 14th and after yung kasal po nila. We also have some couples that are unable to get married because they have been married to other people before. It would be very hard for them to work out the papers and find their past husband or wife. We still encourage them to attend church as well as encourage them to work on their marriage papers.
We also have Sister Via. She's 19 years of age and progressing. The first time that we taught her was yesterday and she attended church. Tatay Randy and Sister Maria, one of our investigators who wasn't baptized on her baptismal date because her parents didn't allow her to, attended church as well. We are so blessed with some of the new people that we have taught the last two weeks. We get some awesome experiences with them even though it's challenging po para samin. We are also teaching some kids. There are more than 6 and we always teach them with their grandparents and the presence of Tatay Albea po. Besides that, we also have four new people that are best friends with a member Son Kuya Ammulek. Although they are so busy all the time, we are able to teach them some lessons when they are having free time because they were always doing their modules in the house of Amulek Albea.
This is all about all the work going on here except I forgot to mention the three new people at Napo in the Bundok. A member who is living far from the main road but we are still looking forward to visiting them and continuing on our lesson 1 part 2. The last time we visited them we shared something about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and about the family. We gave them an assignment to read Pamphleto so on our 3rd visit we will follow up with them because they were busy with their module. The mother supported them to listen to us and they also have a desire to listen because they seemed shocked. They have so many questions about us po. So we are grateful for the tender mercies from this week.
I loved the letter that was shared with me about Joseph Smith first vision and Joseph Smith History because I keep reading it for 2-3 times before I sleep. I ponder it and pray and then cried because of how powerful it is that I am part of this marvelous work even though there are many persecutions but the work will move forward until Christ comes back. I am so grateful for this letter and the Prophet of the Restoration because it helps us know that Satan is real and that if we call upon the name of God our prayers will be heard and we can be strengthened by his Holy Spirit. I will be sharing this message with our friends and members that we have been visiting this week.
I know that this work is a true work which is God's work and that Christ is near to come back. I love the gospel and I am always praying that my family will accept it before Christ comes back po. I love you all and all these things I said in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
