Week 89: Obedience Brings Blessings

Good morning po sa inyo,      This week was really good and uplifting.  My companion and I did things so we are striving to become more obedient.  We also had some cool experiences in traveling.  We see the tender mercies of God and how we are all safe.  I just wanted to share some other impressions from this week.  We visited Tatay Garcia and he's a devoted Catholic member who lost his wife last month.  We are trying to always help him feel the spirit as we often invite in the spirit in living the four foundations of the Legazpi Mission.  He also has daughters who are in school and were interested to listen to more about the gospel.  We are taking it slowly little by little according to the understanding that he has in his religion.        We also called on the Pamugas Family and they are recent converts.  Last night I was able to introduce myself to Nanay Jocelyn and her sister Abigail along with one ...

Good morning po,       Hello everyone.  It's been one week since I have written to you because I have been transfered to my new last area.  I am in Daraga 2nd and I received a new assignment as a supply Elder.  I have been working with my companion.  He was my companion in my 4th area and now we are companions again.  Last week we visited some of the members and I introduced myself.  Some of them we taught lessons.  We have a baptism this coming week which we are worried about because we are on lockdown here.  It just started and it is going to be for 2 weeks is what we heard this morning.        I am writing my letter as it is starting to rain again.  Last night we were instructed by our Mission Leaders to take care and be careful because there's a cyclone crossing the ocean where Legazpi is located.  Some other areas like Bulan will get much more storm than we will.  We will get r...

Hello po everyone magandang umaga po saindong gabos      The work here in Polangui is progressing and the members here are progressing also.  Especially the youth, they often minister to all their inactive youth and other members.  Some active Relief Society sisters also minister by visiting the women and the other families every Sunday.        We did have a baptism last Saturday.  We baptized Tatay Randy and he looks so happy and excited for the upcoming everlasting joy as he will continue keeping his covenants.  He's living very close to the chapel and was so curious to know more and more but we told him as you keep your baptismal covenants,  you will understand more and more as we will come back for new member lessons but don't worry.  All the members have sustained you in raising their right hands to support you as well as the missionaries.  He works at the Army and luckily we are able to help him to re...
