Week 89: Obedience Brings Blessings

Good morning po sa inyo,

This week was really good and uplifting.  My companion and I did things so we are striving to become more obedient.  We also had some cool experiences in traveling.  We see the tender mercies of God and how we are all safe.  I just wanted to share some other impressions from this week.  We visited Tatay Garcia and he's a devoted Catholic member who lost his wife last month.  We are trying to always help him feel the spirit as we often invite in the spirit in living the four foundations of the Legazpi Mission.  He also has daughters who are in school and were interested to listen to more about the gospel.  We are taking it slowly little by little according to the understanding that he has in his religion.

We also called on the Pamugas Family and they are recent converts.  Last night I was able to introduce myself to Nanay Jocelyn and her sister Abigail along with one of her younger brothers.  We followed up with their prayers and readings as well as their Come Follow Me studies.  They said they don't have a Come Follow Me so we will try to give them one as soon as possible.

Last Saturday, we were able to visit Sister Jennelyn Lunos.  She said that she's inactive but the way that she talks as we started to talk about her conversion, we could see that she still has a testimony.  Her husband works from Monday to Saturday.  Sunday is his break day so we set an appointment to visit them on Sunday and they allowed us to come back again.  Her husband was not a member but he also supports her to go on with her faith and allowed us to baptize their son.  At our first visit after talking about Sister Jennelyn's conversion, we talked about the family and the temple.  We had a fellowshipper, Tatay Joseph, who is active with his family and has been sealed in the New Zealand Temple.  He was able to share those experiences that he has had after being sealed in the temple with his family and how the gospel has blessed his family as well as the people he has met in his life.

Everything is going to be alright and we are trying to focus more on those families and inactive members for this coming week.  As well as find some new people.  I think that is my report for this week and we are so looking forward to this coming week.  This is all from me and I don't have any news because we have been traveling this week to get some missionaries for a mission leadership conference and for the new arriving batch.

I love you all and I am so proud of you for the good example you are to me.  Continue working on Christlike attributes and keep all the counsel you have received from your leaders and mismo yung mga prophets.

Maraming salamat po.
