Week 22: When Ye Are in the Service of Your Fellowmen, Ye Are in the Service of Your God

Kumusta,
So this week we had many services in our district.  We have 10 Elders in our district so if there is any help needed from each one of your areas, we call for help.  The people who are swimming are so amazed seeing us cleaning all the plastic and the rubbish on the beach.  Sometimes it really amazed the peoples if you offer a good service.  It will make them feel shock that they need to help too.  If we focus ourselves on helping others, God will give us the opportunity to fulfill His will according to his own timing.

I am really happy last Tuesday that we have the opportunity to help one couple whose home been wash out from the typhoon.  We started digging the foundation and mix gravel with building the foundation on the house.

I wanted to share a wonderful verse found in D&C 85:7 "And it shall come to pass that I, the Lord God, will send one mighty and strong, holding the scepter of power in his hand, clothed with light for a covering, whose mouth shall utter words, eternal words; while his bowels shall be a fountain of truth, to set in order the house of God, and to arrange by lot the inheritances of the saints whose names are found, and the names of their fathers, and of their children, enrolled in the book of the law of God"  If we keep doing what God wants us to do, we will have a strong foundation and cannot be removed in times of trial.  God is good all the time.

And for the last scripture, D&C 64:33, "Wherefore, be not weary in well doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work.  And out of small things proceedeth that which is great."  To me this means if we are trying hard and doing our best, even the smallest thing will produce great results.  Even if you don't always see those results, Heavenly Father does.  He sees your hard work and your obedience and the love you have for those you serve.

Love you everyone,
Elder Bateiti
