Week 8: Touched by General Conference

Kumusta,
This week was going a little bit fast that the last week.  But not too fast as we keep continuing to walk finding the other members house that how I can tell how fast is it haha.  I can say here that each weeks has it own challenges because what I have to do as a missionary.  I have to go through all this waves.  hahaha but with the help of the Holy Spirit and God's Son Jesus Christ, I can get through all the days that God given me.

We had meet a family that are so nice to us.  The first time we knock at their door saying "taopo" we could feel how God had prepared this small family for us.   The mom and dad go to work or you will get nothing to eat or drink.  An old lady taken care of the four children.  The kids looks like they have the same ages.  It is like they were all born in a very close year.

To be honest the people of Legazpi city are all busy and that it takes much time to find investigators.  There are people who don't wanna listen to us and there are few who are curious to hear about the message that we are craving to share.  The good news here is that I am getting to adjust to the city life.  When we are going to see members or finding people we have to cross the street.  My kasarma (companion) was so good in crossing the road so I am always left behind waiting to finish all the many traffic.  But I cannot wait for the traffic because it still runs in the road and my companion says I have to stick with him when we cross.  He thinks that I CAN cross the road too but I can't make it. Hahaha.  I am not used to all this traffic.  In Kiribati, there's no traffic.  Haha.

Some peoples that we make appoint with when we get back to see them they say sorry that they cannot hear from us because they just coming back from work late.  We understand their problem and we keep praying for them to feel how God really loves them.  Sometimes I feel sad for the people who are so rude closing their doors that I know Christ always knock their doors but I will keep praying that they will get ready someday.

My testimony from here is that wherever God leads you always be patient to listen and follow what he instruct you.  And each days God wanted us to come back to him by repenting daily and the more we keep trusting him by sharing our individual problems with a sincere prayer, he will hear us.  There are many peoples who are looking for a peaceful life and they have much but they are always struggling with the enemy of God.

One teaching that really touch my heart from the conference is that we have to express our love to everyone in our family, to our friends, and those around us.  We have to show them as our Heavenly Father really loves us.  John 3:16:  "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

There must be a time that we will separate from our families in different situations but it doesn't mean that God has forsake us.  This is a great time that God given us to exercise our faith in different ways.  Some peoples lost there dad, brothers, or sisters because of death or accident but through the gospel of Jesus Christ we will meet them in the kingdom of God or celestial kingdom.  As we centered the gospel in our family by keeping our covenants and practicing faith in our family we will be blessed and can be the light for those who are lost in this darkness life.

As missionaries, we leave our families to unite in the gospel of Jesus Christ.  How blessed we are that through the Book of Mormon it will help each individual and families to gather again in this life and in the next life.  I testify that there is a power in the Book of Mormon.  I testify that Russell M. Nelson is the prophet that chosen from God.  Through the teachings of the Book of Mormon and listen to the prophet it guide us to our path in this distracting world.  I know that all His teaching are from our Heavenly Father words.  I know that the Book of Mormon is true and I love missionary work!  I love my families, friends, and the peoples of my place that God has given me to serve my mission.  I say this things in Jesus name I pray.  Amen.
